Switzerland Innovation Park Biel/Bienne (SIPBB)
Switzerland Innovation Park Biel/Bienne (SIPBB) is a Swiss for-profit organisation concentrating on applied research and development. SIPBB provides R&D services for national and international academic and industrial partners but also acts as an Innovation Park, renting out office and laboratory space. SIPBB is active in numerous national and international research projects in the following research areas: Health & Life Sciences; Computer & Computational Sciences; Manufacturing & Materials; Energy, Natural Resources & Environment; Mobility & Transportation. Each focus area has its own group of researchers and project managers and are complemented by an independent multidisciplinary development group to support the research groups whenever necessary. SIPBB employs about 40 researchers and engineers from various fields. The Switzerland Innovation Park Biel/Bienne AG has built up a strong network within research institutions and industry. More than 20 companies like Georg Fischer, Ruag, BKW, Balluf Hytech, Cendres et Métaux and others belong to its shareholders and help developing innovative new solutions and also bringing them to market. The Swiss Medtech Center, which will be in charge of the RESILIEN-T project, is responsible for research in the area of health and life sciences. It is a place for research, medicine and industry to work on interdisciplinary innovative projects in the fields of medtech and healthtech.
Competences and role in the project. SIPBB will be responsible for dissemination and exploitation, administrative issues and market analysis.
